James graduated from Henley Business School with a first-class honours in Accounting and Business. James has since qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC in London and passed all three levels of the CFA program.
James began his corporate finance specialism in 2017 when he joined a London-based corporate finance boutique called Wyvern Partners. During his time at Wyvern Partners, James helped advising management teams in private equity backed transactions and M&A transactions covering a wide range of sectors and transaction values.
Before joining Beltrae, James spent two years with KPMG Ireland in its corporate finance department advising on M&A and debt financing across the island of Ireland.
Over his time specialising in corporate finance, James has worked on M&A transactions.
In 2023/24 James acted for the shareholders of Northside Ltd on their successful sale to Bestport Private Equity. James advised Germinal Holdings Ltd (Openfolde) on its acquisition of Lawnsmith Ltd and on the sale of Hivolt Capacitors Ltd to a major industrial PLC.
